It’s been five years since I was diagnosed with PCOS. I had prolonged cycles and heavy bleeding while I had them. I had a visit to my gynecologist and had contraceptive pills administered.I took primolute-n for 6 months without knowing the solution for the root cause.
I quit medication and went to another doctor, but I was put on drugs again. I was going through an unusual phase of cystic acne, where I found myself struggling of hair loss, cystic acne, weight gain, low energy, I was depressed and tired. I changed my doctor for the third time and had my profile checked. My results were not satisfactory, but I was assured that PCOS would be well treated with exercise and by making lifestyle changes.
I have been doing this regimen for almost 6 months and I have also consulted a dermatologist. My acne has been cured with the treatment and diet that I have followed. I would recommend not going in for OCP’s if it is not urgent. Find a good doctor who will help you deal with PCOS. Also, visit a dermatologist and exercise / join zumba every day.Include fibre and drink a lot of water.Follow Instagram pages like pcosindia_club and ava.pcoshealth.club.Do your homework on terms like Insulin resistance, carbs, dairy etc.
