Happy Halloween everyone!. Sharing this cute picture of @haileycooper23 along with her story of everyday learning with PCOS.
Since PCOS is still an under research condition, it is important to learn from fellow cysters and share our experiences so that we can encourage more understanding about it.
“Until a month ago I thought I had bad periods and infertility lol😅 I discovered I had PCOS last year after the asking the OB if I could be tested for endometriosis since my mom and grandma had it. They really didn’t give me any info and told me through a 2 minute phone call:/
I have been managing through just my birth control and I have been trying to eat better. I didn’t really know the whole scope of what it effects but I stopped eating gluten and managing my diet stricter about 4 years ago because of how bad my digestive issues have gotten.
I’m not exactly sure what is the most difficult part yet because I’m still learning but so far it’s been the weight gain and extreme difficulty to lose even when at my peak healthiness.
One advice is to keep researching and learning because education can empower you and knowing about your body is so important!”
